A clean-feed setting is disabled after a firmware reset, so the next production day records with a monitor overlay workflow that no longer matches the setup.

Problem

A clean-feed setting is disabled after a firmware reset, so the next production day records with a monitor overlay workflow that no longer matches the setup.

Solution

Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Performing camera firmware updates or factory setting resets clears custom user profiles, reverting the HDMI output configuration to default factory state with full OSD info overlays enabled.

Actionable Fix:
1. Navigate to HDMI settings immediately following any firmware update and switch 'HDMI Info Display' to 'Off' and output mode to 'Clean Feed'.
2. Export the verified camera configuration profile to an SD card ('CAMSET.DAT') and label it with the date and firmware version for one-touch restoration.
3. Verify on the external field recorder or monitor that the incoming stream displays zero camera status icons prior to production roll.

Pro Tip:
Maintain a laminated pre-flight checklist on the camera rig case listing critical menu paths: HDMI Clean Feed, Timecode Run, Record Trigger, and Picture Profile.
