Problem

Producer commentary is recorded locally but not intended for the public feed, creating a privacy problem.

Solution

Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Multi-track recording setups in streaming software (such as OBS Studio) often map all active inputs to both the live stream track and primary archival recording tracks by default. When production teams leave internal comms, inter-studio IFB, or client commentary unassigned to dedicated discrete tracks, private off-air coordination is permanently baked into archival master files that may later be repurposed for public VODs.

Actionable Fix:
1. Configure Multi-Track Audio routing in OBS (Settings > Output > Recording): assign Track 1 to Public Stream, Track 2 to Clean Talent Master, Track 3 to Game/System, and Track 4 exclusively to Intercom/Talkback.
2. In Advanced Audio Properties, uncheck the producer talkback input from Tracks 1, 2, and 3, ensuring it is only captured on isolated Track 4 for internal post-production review.
3. Inspect exported master recording files in an NLE (Premiere/DaVinci) to confirm Track 1 and Track 2 are completely free of producer audio chatter.

Pro Tip:
Standardize clean-feed recording architectures so all archive files generated for social clipping or highlights pull strictly from an automated clean-feed program bus that omits comms and graphic overlays.
