Color grading nodes referencing external 3D LUT files (.cube) via absolute file paths break when transferred to workstations lacking identical local directory trees. Without the designated LUT, the grading engine bypasses the transform node, resulting in uncorrected log footage or shifted hues.
Actionable Fix:
1. Store all project-specific .cube LUT files within the project root directory and copy them into the NLE's shared application LUT repository.
2. In DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro, execute a project archive / package operation to ensure all referenced color transforms are bundled into the project archive.
3. Review color grading timeline nodes to confirm zero "Missing LUT" warning icons or unrendered color nodes exist on the master timeline.
