Solution
Root Cause / Diagnostic:
When working in color-managed environments (such as ACES or DaVinci YRGB Color Managed), precompositions and nested timelines pass raw RGB buffer data into the parent timeline's global color pipeline. If the parent sequence applies an automated input device transform (IDT) or timeline color transform (e.g., converting Rec.709 to Rec.2020 / Linear), sRGB vector graphics and logos undergo an unmanaged secondary gamma shift. This results in desaturated colors, washed-out whites, or blown-out graphic highlights.
Actionable Fix:
1. Set the precomposed graphics layer's input color management property explicitly to 'Bypass Color Management' or assign an explicit sRGB / Rec.709 IDT.
2. In DaVinci Resolve, right-click the nested graphic clip on the edit timeline and select 'Bypass Color Management' to isolate it from the timeline grade.
3. Compare logo hex color codes against brand guidelines using an eyedropper tool on the final master output to confirm 100% colorimetric accuracy.
