Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Conforming high-frame-rate footage (e.g., 60 fps or 120 fps) to a 24 fps timeline without frame blending drops surplus frames to achieve real-time playback. However, because the original footage was captured with a fast shutter speed (e.g., 1/120s or 1/240s to satisfy the 180-degree rule at high frame rates), dropping frames leaves each remaining frame with minimal motion blur. The conformed footage displays choppy, strobing motion that clashes with native 24 fps footage shot at 1/48s.

Actionable Fix:
1. Set clip frame-interpolation in NLE timeline properties to 'Optical Flow' or apply synthetic motion blur (180-degree shutter simulation) to conformed high-shutter clips.
2. For intentional slow-motion, interpret footage at 24 fps in the project bin so it plays back smoothly in cinematic slow-motion rather than forced real-time playback.
3. Step through conformed movement sequences to verify that motion blur tails blend smoothly without ghosting or double-image artifacts.

Pro Tip:
Only shoot at 60+ fps when you explicitly intend to use the shot in slow motion; shoot native 24 fps with a 180-degree shutter (1/48s or 1/50s) for all real-time dialogue and documentary action.
