Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Green light bouncing off an intensely lit green backdrop reflects off fine, semi-translucent blonde hair fibers, creating a green contamination fringe. When the subject steps into brighter scene lighting, the green spill becomes even more prominent. Standard green-screen keyers often misinterpret this green-tinted hair as background, either eating away fine hair strands or leaving an ugly lime-green halo on the composite.

Actionable Fix:
1. Apply an advanced despill algorithm (such as Keylight Spill Suppressor or Ultra Key Color Correction) set to sample the exact hair tint and replace green spill with complementary neutral warm tones.
2. Create a secondary edge matte specifically targeting hair boundaries, adjusting core matte transparency independently from the opaque body matte.
3. View the composite over both pure white and pure black background layers to verify that hair edges blend naturally without glowing green or dark fringe lines.

Pro Tip:
Rig a warm minus-green backlight (rim light) slightly overhead behind talent on set; this warm rim light counteracts green background bounce and physically prevents spill from contaminating hair.
