This unnatural reconstruction creates flat, waxy plastic patches and bizarre yellowish or magenta color shifts across talent foreheads and cheekbones.

Actionable Fix:
1. Disable automatic 'Highlight Recovery' in the RAW camera development settings if talent skin displays unnatural discoloration.
2. Use a gentle highlight roll-off curve or soft-clip knee on the master grading node to smoothly compress specular highlights without inventing artificial channel data.
3. Inspect skin highlights using the 100% parade scope to confirm that color channels roll off smoothly into white without sharp flat-topped clipping cliffs.

Pro Tip:
Use false color monitoring on set to keep talent skin highlights safely between 65 and 75 IRE, ensuring at least 1.5 stops of headroom before sensor clipping occurs.
