Running multiple concurrent software applications that request hardware encoder access (e.g., OBS, Discord screen share, ShadowPlay, or background capture software) causes GPU session contention. When concurrent sessions exceed hardware capacity, the GPU video engine throttles or rejects encoding requests. This resource starvation produces severe rendering lag, encoder overloads, and dropped frames.

Actionable Fix:
1. Close all secondary screen capture and recording utilities (Nvidia ShadowPlay, Xbox Game Bar, Discord GPU encoding) before broadcasting.
2. In OBS, set both streaming and local recording to share the same hardware encoder instance if recording concurrently with broadcasting.
