Recovery access is concentrated in one person's account, creating a single point of failure for channel security.

Problem

Recovery access is concentrated in one person's account, creating a single point of failure for channel security.

Solution

Root Cause / Diagnostic:
When channel recovery relies entirely on a single creator's personal phone number and personal email, an unexpected incapacitation, device loss, or targeted account lockout leaves the entire production company with zero administrative recourse to regain channel control.

Actionable Fix:
1. Dual-Administrator Governance Model: Implement a secondary, geographically separated administrative account configured with independent hardware security keys and verified recovery paths.
2. Google Workspace Multi-Admin Setup: Transition the channel to a Google Workspace domain with at least two super administrators to prevent single-account lockouts.
3. Failover Protocol Verification: Perform a semi-annual recovery simulation to ensure the secondary administrator can successfully intervene if the primary account is locked.

Pro Tip:
Never let one single person hold the only recovery keys to a business channel. Setup a trusted secondary admin account secured with its own hardware key so your business isn't paralyzed if your phone gets lost or stolen.
