Solution

Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Consumer SSDs lack hardware-level Power-Loss Protection (PLP) capacitors. When power drops unexpectedly, volatile onboard DRAM cache containing uncommitted filesystem allocation tables and NLE project database updates is wiped instantly, corrupting the project file or file system superblock.

Actionable Fix:
1. UPS Deployment: Connect the editing workstation and external storage enclosures to a pure-sine-wave Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) rated for at least 1500VA with automated USB shutdown signaling.
