Solution

Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Multi-platter 7200-RPM enterprise hard drives generate rotational vibration (RV). In metal-to-metal unisolated chassis drive bays, these vibrations transfer between adjacent drives or chassis panels, knocking read/write heads off their narrow track alignment and causing massive seek retry latency and degraded throughput.

Actionable Fix:
1. Anti-Vibration Dampener Installation: Mount all hard drives using silicone rubber isolation grommets and specialized shoulder screws to decouple mechanical vibrations from the PC case.
2. Enterprise RV Sensor Drives: Deploy enterprise-grade drives equipped with internal Rotational Vibration (RV) sensors (e.g., Seagate Exos, WD Gold) that automatically compensate for chassis vibration.
