Root Cause / Diagnostic:
Aborting and restarting an offload into an existing directory without clearing partial files can result in stale, truncated, or overwritten assets remaining in place. Editors importing the folder end up working with corrupted clip fragments or out-of-date media takes.

Actionable Fix:
1. Clean Target Directory Enforcement: When a copy operation fails, delete the entire corrupted destination folder before re-initiating the transfer, or use an offload tool that automatically isolates incomplete transfers.
2. Atomic Ingest Automation: Deploy dedicated DIT offload tools (Silverstack, ShotPut Pro) that write to temporary hidden directories and rename them only upon 100% checksum verification.
3. Checksum Discrepancy Verification: Compare destination file hashes against the camera card master manifest to ensure zero truncated or orphaned files exist.
